Transducer

A transducer, converts one form of energy to another,
Electrical to mechanical,
Mechanical to light,
Light to sound,
The energy gets passed around.

The joy of giving
Is greater than the joy of gain;
If only there was a transducer that could harness the energy of pain.
This transducer would surely have the highest gain*,
Not a single unit would go in vain.

For in the journey of pain,
There is no soul on earth,
Without a berth.
The energy crisis forever will be solved,
There won’t be an issue lift unresolved.
The most unwanted equity,
Will then be the most traded commodity.

As I pen this in leisure,
A thought comes across:
Such a device would actually
Convert pain to pleasure;
So what if it’s only material,
It yet is real.
Unlike the smile on your face,
When you’re in disdain.

*Gain – output per unit input. A high gain is a desirable property for an electronic device.

void main( )

The news on the tabloid
Make you feel paranoid
You think there are rules
By which you must abide
To find a place for yourself to coincide
There remains a void
That you cannot avoid.

Smooth or bumpy might be the ride
Pictures of friends, you have on Polaroid
But there may not be someone who can be your guide
Your heart searches for someone
In whom you can confide
Who you can always count on to be by your side
There remains a void
That you cannot avoid.

Think of the time when to yourself you lied
As you search in the circle of life
For a centroid
Since from yourself you cannot run nor hide
Everyday when you step into life
The spectrum before you is surely very wide
Still there remains a void
That you cannot avoid.

A Few Stray Thoughts

There are many things that go to make a complete man, what you wear is just one of them. There are two types of people in this world, one who take the well defined path for their lives, n ones who take the road less traveled. N that’s what makes all the difference. It’s the unexplored territory that makes gr8 people, not the ones which have been conquered before. As we walk through life, we always have a choice. There’s no right or wrong, there’s only truth n power. That’s where you got to make a choice. The choice between strength n weaknesses, between love n hatred, between friends n foes, between good n bad, between honesty n greed, between passion n lust, between life n death. It’s all about the choices we make. We got to know the difference between what we want n what we need. Very often it’s the wants we consider as needs n make our lives a mess. The best of the things come to you when you least expect them. As a popular advertisement jingle says “Moh maya ke jaal mein nahi phasna, the best things in life are kaafi sastaa”
Difficulties in your life do not come to destroy you, but to help you realize your hidden potential. Let the difficulties know that you’re difficult to beat.
